I have a 1996 Kubota that has developed a sticking throttle. It springsback about 1/2 way, but will not return to idle. I have to pull up on the foot pedal with the back of my foot. I've disconnected the linkages and the throttle itself (on the engine)appears to be very hard to turn. There is a spring on the back of the linkage, but it looks too light to be a return spring.Does anyone have experience with servicing this mechanism? I've been over it moderately well, and I don't see anything obvious.I'm awaiting my factory service manual.JD

I have seen this problem on low-hour tractors that do a lot of sitting. Often the cure is as simple as a couple shots of penetrating oil where the throttle shaft enters the injection pump, and working the shaft back & forth from low idle to the full throttle position, with the engine not running, of course. When the oil frees up the shaft, it will return as it is supposed to. Good luck. ....
